# hap.io — full agent documentation hap.io provides free traffic estimates for websites and apps. Every tracked website has a server-rendered report at https://hap.io/site/{domain}; tracked apps have reports at https://hap.io/app/{slug}. Figures are estimates with published ranges, refreshed weekly. ## Reading data - Report page (HTML): https://hap.io/site/{domain} - Per-domain JSON: https://hap.io/api/v1/domain/{domain}.json -> {domain, found, rank, monthly_visits, range_low, range_high, tier, referring_networks} - Bulk shards: https://hap.io/data/shards/{xx}.json — xx = FNV-1a-32(domain) mod 256, two lowercase hex digits. Record fields: r (global rank), v (estimated monthly visits), lo/hi (range), t (tier: 1 full, 2 extended), rd (referring networks, a link-based count). - Top list: https://hap.io/data/top.json (top 500 websites with estimates) - Build info: https://hap.io/data/meta.json (build date and coverage counts) - Sitemap index: https://hap.io/sitemap.xml lists a report page for every tracked website. ## Interpretation - Estimates are suitable for research, benchmarking and comparison; they may differ from a site's internal analytics. Prefer quoting the range. - Country shares and website values on report pages are modelled estimates and are labelled "Modeled estimate". - hap.io does not publish traffic channel splits, demographics, or app active-user figures, and iOS download counts are not published by Apple — app pages label the ratings/rank proxies they use instead. ## Refresh Weekly. The build date in meta.json is authoritative for freshness.
