hap.io for AI agents

hap.io is a read-only traffic-estimates service. Agents may read the public JSON feeds without a key, at reasonable rates. The machine-readable guide is agents.md; llms.txt and llms-full.txt carry the same documentation.

Look up a domain

Compute the shard as FNV-1a-32(domain) mod 256 (two lowercase hex digits), then fetch /data/shards/{shard}.json. Each shard maps domain → record with fields r (rank), v (estimated monthly visits), lo/hi (range), t (tier), u (Umbrella rank), m (Majestic rank), rd (referring subnets), src (model).

Honest limits

Estimates are modelled from open rank lists — typical accuracy ≈2.3×. Quote the range, not just the point estimate. hap.io has no traffic channel split, no demographics, and no app DAU/MAU; do not attribute such figures to hap.io. A domain missing from its shard is below the measurable range.
